1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Pura Belia (“we”, “us”, “our” or “the Controller”) collects, uses and protects personal information in connection with its website purabelia.com and its audio software products in plugin format (including Fragua, Yunque and Temple, hereinafter “the Products”).

We are committed to protecting your privacy and processing your data transparently, in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and the guarantee of digital rights (LOPDGDD), and other applicable Spanish and European law.

3. What data we collect

3.1 License activation data (collected by the Product)

When you activate a Product, the following information is sent to our license validation service (hosted by Lemon Squeezy):

  • License key (entered by you during activation).
  • Machine fingerprint: a hardware identifier processed as a hash. It does not, by itself, constitute personally identifiable information.
  • Activation timestamp.

This data is used solely to verify your license and enforce the activation limit (a maximum of three machines per user).

3.2 Purchase data (collected by Lemon Squeezy)

When you purchase a Product, payment processing is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC), acting as Merchant of Record. Pura Belia does NOT directly collect or store your payment information (card number, bank details, etc.). Through Lemon Squeezy we receive:

  • Your email address.
  • Your name (if provided).
  • The license key assigned to your purchase.
  • The purchase date.

This data is used for order management, license key delivery and customer support.

3.3 Contact and support data

If you email us, we will retain your address and the content of the communication in order to handle your query.

3.4 What we do NOT collect

  • We do NOT collect usage analytics or telemetry within the Products.
  • We do NOT collect automatic crash reports.
  • We do NOT track behaviour within the Products.
  • We do NOT sell or transfer your data to third parties for commercial purposes.

The Products run completely offline after activation. No data is transmitted during normal use. (Cookie usage on the Website is described in the Cookie Policy.)

4. How we use your data

We use the collected data exclusively for:

  • License activation validation and management.
  • Order management and license key delivery.
  • Customer support (responding to queries and resolving issues).
  • Sending communications related to your license or the product (for example, update notices), where applicable.
  • Compliance with legal obligations (for example, records required by Spanish tax law).

We do NOT use your data for unsolicited marketing, profiling or automated decision-making with legal effects.

In accordance with Article 6 of the GDPR, we process your data on the following bases:

  • Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): processing necessary to fulfil the license agreement (activation, delivery and support).
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): retention of purchase records under Spanish tax law.
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): customer support and fraud prevention.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): where applicable (for example, non-essential cookies or voluntary subscription to communications).

6. Data sharing

We share data only with the following processors or third parties necessary to provide the service:

We do NOT sell, rent or share your personal data with any other third party for commercial or advertising purposes.

7. Data retention

  • License activation data: retained while your license remains active; deleted at the user’s request or after license deactivation.
  • Purchase records: retained for the period required by Spanish tax law.
  • Customer support correspondence: retained for a maximum of two years after the query is resolved, and deleted thereafter.

8. Your rights under the GDPR

As a data subject, you have the right to:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: request the correction of inaccurate data.
  • Erasure (“right to be forgotten”): request the deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Restriction: request the restriction of processing in certain circumstances.
  • Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Withdrawal of consent: where processing is based on your consent, withdraw it at any time.
  • Complaint: lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, https://www.aepd.es) or your local supervisory authority.

9. Data security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data:

  • All communications with the activation API use HTTPS/TLS encryption.
  • Machine fingerprints are processed as an irreversible hash.
  • Access to customer data is restricted to authorised personnel.

10. International data transfers

Lemon Squeezy is based in the United States. Data transfers to Lemon Squeezy are covered by the appropriate safeguards provided for under the GDPR (including the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission), ensuring a level of protection equivalent to that of the EU.

11. Children’s privacy

The Products and the Website are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will delete it immediately.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be published on purabelia.com with an updated version number and date. Continued use of the Products or the Website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
